PCC PUBLICATIONS
Discussion Papers. PCC discussion papers report results of original research studies. These are not externally or internally peer-reviewed and can appear in refined form in academic and technical journals. These are authored by PCC offices or staff and do not necessarily reflect official positions of the PCC. External contributions may be considered but only upon review and approval of the PCC Editorial board.
Market/industry Studies. A PCC market study presents PCC’s mapping of selected industries. Market studies aim to provide a better understanding of the structure and dynamics of a particular market or industry with the end-view of improving competition to benefit consumers and businesses. Authored by PCC staff or, in the case of commissioned studies, by the institution or consultant. Published under the PCC series.
Policy Statements. A PCC Policy Statement is an official statement of the Commission relating to PCC internal policies. It is meant to clarify provisions in the Philippine Competition Act, as well as PCC rules and decisions on policy and enforcement issues. Intended for wide release including all government executive and legislative agencies, business groups, and media.
Policy Notes. A Policy Note represents PCC’s official position on external policies related to market competition. It is circulated to concerned policy decision makers, sector regulators, legislators, judiciary, the media, and the academe, among others.
Competition Brief. These are brief reports of research and analyses on competition-related issues, circulated to policy decision makers, sector regulators, legislators, judiciary, the media, and the academe, among others. These are authored by PCC offices or staff and do not necessarily reflect official positions of the PCC. External contributions may be considered but only upon review and approval of the PCC Editorial Board.
Collaterals. PCC publishes collaterals that aim to generate better public awareness and understanding of the PCA and the PCC. These include primers, brochures, handbooks, and annual reports. No authorship credits.
Philippine Competition Bulletin (PCB). The PCB is the PCC’s official quarterly news publication, which highlights significant events or relevant competition-related issues for circulation to the general public. No authors are listed.
